all about us

St. George's nursery has two rooms one at either end of the cloakroom area.
Small World
For children aged 3 months to 2 years. This room is accommodates up to 6 babies at a time with 2 loving and caring, experienced staff.
Age and stage appropriate resources help to make your babies day stimulating and exciting. We work very closely in partnership with parents to consider babies routines when planning for their individual needs.
Magic Kingdom
For children aged 2 to 5 years. The room accommodates up to 16 children and follows the Early Years Foundation stage framework. The ratio in this room is 1 adult to 4 children. We plan the children's days to ensure a wide variety of experiences and encourage individuality and friendships to grow.
In this room the children truly learn through play. They are encouraged to choose what they would like to play with from the variety of toys provided. Key Workers observe their children and learn about their interests. As a team we use information gained through these observations to build upon their interests.
Outside Play Area
Newly refurbished in 2011 with plenty of space to recreate the indoor learning experience. Children use the outside area daily and are provided with resources appropriate for all weathers.
With parental permission, children can also enjoy walks and visits within the local area.
